How to enter BlackBerry unlock codes

The purpose of this document is to assist you if you have obtained your network unlock code for your BlackBerry and need to know how to enter it to unlock your handset.

Procedure
Step 1	Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card press Select - or - Options -> Advanced Options -> SIM Card
Step 2	While holding the SHIFT key, type MEPD or MEPPD for BlackBerry 7100/8100. (nothing shows on screen when you type this)
Step 3	You should now see the five locking categories listed (picture below).

Step 4	While holding the SHIFT KEY, type MEP2 or MEPP2 for BlackBerry 7100.
Step 5	Release the shift key.
Step 6	You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)
Step 7	Enter the code
Step 8	Enter Return/Enter
Step 9	The device will then be unlocked
Verification
Step 1	Insert a SIM card from another network in the handset. You should now be able to make and receive calls with the new SIM card.
