Frequently Asked Questions

What is unlocking?
Unlocking a phone is a process where restrictions placed on a handset are removed to allow the handset to be used on other networks/carriers.

Why should I unlock my phone?
Mobile/cellular networks/carriers lock the handsets they sell so that they can only be used with their network. By unlocking you will be able to use your cell phone with any other network worldwide without restrictions.  Resale value of the handset also increases as you can now sell to anyone for any network.

Phone unlocking, is it legal?
Yes, it is 100% legal to unlock your phone.
If in doubt please consult your country's laws.

Is it safe, can I damage my phone?
Yes, it is safe.  The methods used to unlock your handset have been fully tested and carry no risk as information is read from the phone.  No software changes are made to the phone so there is no chance of damage/corruption.

What will happen if the phone remains locked?
If your phone is not stolen/barred, technically there is no such possibility.
If you give us the correct information about your phone or if you follow our instructions appropriately then you will be supplied with the appropriate unlock codes which will unlock your phone.  In the event that your phone does not unlock we reserve the right to request that the handset be shipped to us for investigation prior to any refund.
